In recent years, the press has witnessed a decline in its audience due to various factors, including cultural, social, political, and economic influences, as well as existing restrictions. This research aimed to investigate the reasons, processes, strategies, and consequences of this issue by employing the grounded theory method, which follows a systematic approach. The participants in this study were communication media experts and individuals with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the press field. Through purposeful sampling, a total of 29 people were selected and interviewed using a semi-structured interview. The data were analyzed using the three-step coding method of grounded theory, which includes open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The findings revealed that the causal conditions influencing the distancing of the press can be categorized into three parts: socio-cultural factors (such as Iranian oral tradition, digitization of culture, minimalistic life, and institutional mistrust), political factors (including political restrictions and behavioral politicization), and economic factors (such as economic poverty, inflation, and high prices). The contextual conditions contributing to people's distance from the press are the political economy and virtualization. Additionally, the intervening conditions impacting people's distance from the press encompass content weakness and structural weakness. To address this issue, strategies such as content modernization, communication modernization, and structural modernization were identified. If these strategies are successfully implemented, the most significant consequence for the press would be a reduction in people's distance from it, leading to a decrease in the downward trend of the press audience.

Every day, many citizens are faced with unexpected deaths that bring about particular mental and social effects on the bereaved people. The present research aims to discover the process of the bereaved people’s deconstruction after a loved one’s death. To understand the process by applying a qualitative approach and the grounded theory method,we tried to discover and construct the bereaved people’s deconstruction.Data were gathered by theoretical sampling and deep interviews. The respondents were those bereaved people who experienced unexpected deaths of their loved ones in the traditional religious context of Yazd. The data were carefully analyzed using the processes of open coding, axial coding and selective coding. Then, the table of concepts and paradigmatic model were presented. The results reflect the fact that in facing with loss, people construct it mentally and socially, but over time, they try to revise their mourning face and gradually complete the process of their deconstruction by different strategies such as emotion regulation, mutual blame, and supportive expectations.

Today, the use of mobile social networks has become an important and sensitive issue. It is rooted in several social factors. In the present era, the level of users’ skills has also become a vital issue for human societies. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between users’ skills and positive and negative uses of mobile social networks. To conduct this survey, a multi-stage cluster sampling method was used and 385 young people in Yazd, Iran were selected. The data gathering tool was a questionnaire that was validated with content and structural validity as well as Cronbach's alpha coefficient for reliability. The findings showed that there were significant relationships between the users’ skills and negative and positive uses of mobile social networks. The users’ skills explained 0.33% and 0.14% of the variance of positive and negative uses of mobile social networks, respectively. The results of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) also showed that the model had a suitable goodness of fit.
